Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá pojetím přírody Františka z Assisi. Práce je rozdělena do dvou kapitol. První kapitola obecně pojednává o františkánských spisech týkajících se přírody a rozebírá jejich úskalí, následně seznamuje se základními událostmi Františkova života. Druhá kapitola je obsáhlejší a již se soustředí na pojetí přírody v konkrétních františkánských spisech. Ty se dělí na Spisy o Františkovi a Františkovy spisy. Do první skupiny patří tři životopisy (Vita prima, Vita secunda, Legenda Maior) a jedna sbírka legend o Františkovi (Kvítky). Druhá skupina zahrnuje Františkovy listy, řeholi, modlitby a chvály, mezi kterými vyniká Chvalozpěv stvoření. Pomocí rozboru jednotlivých spisů se zřetelem na historický kontext a jejich vzájemným porovnáváním v práci postupně krystalizují jednotlivé Františkovy náhledy na přírodu, z nichž nejvýraznějším náhledem na ni je náhled pozitivní jako na dobré Boží stvoření. The first one discusses the franciscan writings dealing with the nature in general, it analyses its rigours, afterwards introduces the key events of Francis' life. The second chapter is more komplex and focuses on the concept of nature in concrete franciscan writings. They are recognized as The Writings about St. Francis and The Writings of St. Francis. The first group consists of three biographies (Vita prima, Vita secunda, Legenda Maior) and one collection of legends about Francis (Little flowers). The second group includes Francis' letters, monastic rule, prayers and praises, among which Canticle of the Creatures stands out. The analyses of particular writings focused on their historical context and the comparison of writings crystallize the particular perspectives of Francis's concept of nature, especially the most outstanding view of nature as God's good creation.
