This thesis deals with rural tourism as a specific form of tourism and one of the options for diversification of agricultural activities in Czechia and Slovakia. The main aim of the paper is to evaluate the development, current state and regional differentiation of agritourism in Czechia and Slovakia. The theoretical part describes the development of agriculture since 1989 and current trends in the sector. There are also explainations of important terms in relation to agritourism as a part of rural tourism and also it's positive and negative aspects The work analyzes implementation of support for agritourism from Rural Development Programme for the period 2007 - 2013 and 2014 - 2020. Empirical part of the study aims to evaluate current state of agritourism in Czechia and Slovakia, the number of agritourism facilities in selected period and regional differentiation of agritourism in Czechia and Slovakia. For the evaluation of agritourism, we used data form the Statistical Office of Slovak Republic, Czech Statistical Office, SZIF and Ministri of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic. Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá agroturistikou ako špecifickou formou cestovného ruchu a zároveň jednou z možností diverzifikácie poľnohospodárskych činností v Česku a na Slovensku. Hlavným cieľom práce je zhodnotenie vývoja, súčasného stavu a regionálnej diferenciácie agroturistiky v Česku a na Slovensku. Teoretická časť je zameraná na popis vývoja poľnohospodárstva po roku 1989 a aktuálne trendy v tomto odvetví. Práca vysvetľuje dôležité pojmy v spojitosti s agroturistikou, jej zaradenie v rámci vidieckeho cestovného ruchu, tiež sú popísané pozitívne a negatívne stránky agroturistiky. Práca hodnotí podporu agroturistiky v rámci Programu rozvoja vidieka na obdobie 2007 - 2013 a 2014 - 2020. Empirická časť práce má za cieľ zhodnotenie stavu agroturistiky v Česku a na Slovenku a zhodnotenie vývoja počtu agroturistických zariadení vo vybranom období. Pre zhodnotenie agroturistiky boli v práci využité údaje z ČSÚ, SŠÚ, SZIF a MPSR.
