Tato diplomová práce Kolektivní akce Rady bezpečnosti OSN na ochranu lidských práv se, jak již název napovídá, zabývá kolektivními akcemi s mandátem Rady bezpečnosti OSN na ochranu lidských práv. Práce je dělena na úvod, závěr a čtyři kapitoly. V první kapitole je popsán systém ochrany lidských práv tak, jak byl nastaven po druhé světové válce v rámci nově vzniklé Organizace spojených národů. Kapitola se také zabývá kolektivními akcemi Rady bezpečnosti OSN obecně, ať již s použitím síly či bez použití síly, tj. jejich autorizací a možností opatření, která mohou být proti porušiteli v rámci systému OSN použita. Druhá kapitola se zabývá praktickým využitím kolektivních akcí v období studené války, tzn. od vzniku OSN do počátku 90. let 20. století. V tomto období byly autorizovány kolektivní akce mezinárodního společenství s mandátem Rady bezpečnosti OSN dvakrát, a to v případě Jihoafrické republiky jako reakce na politiku apartheidu a v případě Jižní Rhodesie, kde byly sankce použity jako reakce na jednostranné vyhlášení nezávislosti vlády bílé menšiny. Oba případy jsou v kapitole rozebrány. Následující kapitola se zabývá rozvojem lidskoprávních teorií po konci studené války. This thesis Collective Actions of the UN Security Council for the Protection of Human Rights deals with, as the title suggests, collective actions for the protection of human rights with the mandate of the UN Security Council. The thesis is divided into an introduction, conclusion, and four chapters. In the first chapter, the system of human rights protection is described, as it was set up within the newly-formed United Nations after World War II. This chapter also deals with collective actions of the UN Security Council, with or without the use of force, on a theoretical level, e.g. their authorization and possibility of measures that can be taken within the UN system against the perpetrator. Second chapter deals with examples of collective actions of the UN Security Council during the Cold War period. In this era, collective actions of the UN Security Council were authorized only twice, in case of South Africa as a reaction to their policy of apartheid, and in case of South Rhodesia as a reaction to the unilateral declaration of independence by the white minority government.
