Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je seznámení s bohatou lidovou tvorbou na území Chodska, především pak uplatnění hudební složky v rámci určitých tradic tohoto kraje. Vnímá hudbu jako nezbytnou součást nejen určitých zvyků, ale také životního stylu této příhraniční oblasti vůbec. Kromě významných dnů pojednává také o proměnách folklorního dění na vesnicích i v samotné metropoli a kolébce Chodských slavností - Domažlicích. The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the rich folk activity of the Chodsko region, especially the musical elements within certain local traditions. The thesis envisages the music as essential part not only of customs and traditions but also of the lifestyle typical for this frontier region in general. Besides going through significant dates, this text discusses the development of the folklore in villages and in the capital itself - Domažlice city, the cradle of Chodsko region's festivities.
