cze Abstract:
The following bachelor's thesis from a sociological perspective analyze sexuality in contemporary czech feature films. Bachelor's thesis based on the social construction of reality and simultaneously rejects biological determinism. This theoretical background is created from the inspirational ideas of authors, such as are Michel Foucault, Jeffrey Weeks, Pierre Bourdieu and last but not least Laury Mulvey. From this theoretical basis it constructs consecutive methodological and analytical part. The thesis tries to reveal the dominant masculine and heterosexual ideology in the movies. Selected scenes are picked up to describe mechanisms (camera, editing, mise en scene…) which are used to construct sexuality and how the given ideology works in them. It reveals inequality in the representation of female and male sexuality, as well as between heterosexual and...
