(česky): Hlavním tématem této práce je Vilém Slavata z Chlumu a Košumberka. Nejdůležitější informace o jeho životě a kariéře v řadě významných zemských i dvorských úřadů jsou shrnuty již v úvodu mé práce, která je strukturována do pěti hlavních kapitol. Třetí kapitola, následující po úvodu, soupisu podkladové literatury a vysvětlení stěžejních pojmů, popisuje samotný rozvoj významného panského rodu Slavatů z Chlumu a Košumberka, jehož počátky sahají podle nejstarších písemných pramenů na přelom 11. a 12. století. Historii Slavatů z Chlumu a Košumberka jsem navíc zasadil do hlubších geografických souvislostí detailním popisem rodových sídel v zemích Království českého. Čtvrtá kapitola je již věnována samotné osobnosti Viléma Slavaty z Chlumu a Košumberka, jehož život zároveň ilustruje dějiny každodennosti představitele české vysoké šlechty. Pro větší názornost jsem na závěr zařadil kapitolu, která se zabývá obrazem života hraběte Slavaty a nejvýznamnějšími událostmi této éry v umění. The main topic of the thesis is William Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk. The most important information about his life and career in many significant provincial and royal offices is summarized at the beginning of my thesis, which is divided into five chapters. The third chapter, which follows after the introduction, list of sources of literature and explanation of key terms, describes the development of a prominent clan of Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk, whose origins according to the oldest historical sources can be traced back to the turn of the 11th century. Moreover, I linked the history of Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk clan with geographical context by adding detailed description of clan residences in the Kingdom of Bohemia. The fourth chapter deals with Vilém Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk himself, illustrating the everyday life of a high nobility representative. The fifth chapter gives information on the picture depicting the life of Count Vilem Slavata as well as other important events of this era in art.
