Práce reflektuje problematiku sklářství v Pošumaví od počátků řemeslné produkce ve druhé polovině 14. století až po osudy sklářského průmyslu ve druhé polovině 20. století. Zároveň poukazuje na současné postavení a možnosti sklářské výroby v regionu. Ústřední téma práce přitom tvoří lokální produkce podmaleb na skle, nabývající na významu v rámci lidové zbožnosti druhé poloviny 18. století. Toto období přitom koresponduje s největším rozkvětem pošumavského sklářství, kdy bylo v regionu soustředěno nejvíce skláren v rámci Evropy. Práce bude realizována nejen na základě literatury ale také terénním výzkumem a rozhovory se současnými malíři podmaleb na skle. This research reflects issues of glassmaking in the Bohemian Forest since the beggining of the craft production in the second half of the 14th century till the fate of the glass industry in the second half of the 20th century. At the same time the study points to the current position and possibilities of glass production in the region. The central theme of the research focuses local production of painting on glass, acquiring importance in the context of folk piety of the second half of the 18th century. This period corresponds with the largest expansion of the glass industry in the Bohemian Forest, where was concentrated the largest number of the glass factories in Europe. The study is not based only on literatury but also field research and interwievs with contemporary painters of painting on glass.
