Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá obdobím Pražského jara z pohledu karlovarského periodika Stráž míru. Zároveň přináší i stručný historický pohled na události a mediální situaci v Československu. V první kapitole jsou nejdříve vylíčeny společenské a mezinárodní okolnosti, které předcházely Pražskému jaru. Pozornost je soustředěna na události po nástupu Alexandra Dubčeka do čela KSČ, Akční program KSČ a činnost reformistů. Kapitola druhá se zabývá mediální situací v Československu. Vylíčeny jsou zde rozsáhlé změny mediální sféry v době Pražského jara, zejména zrušení cenzury a žánrový rozvoj všech typů médií. V této kapitole je zahrnut i popis právních předpisů a mezinárodních schůzek, které situaci v zemi ovlivnily. Na konci teoretické části je stručný popis týdeníku Stráž míru. Stráž míru byla regionálním periodikem a působila v okrese Karlovy Vary. Třetí kapitola je již zaměřena analyticky, prakticky rozebírá jednotlivé články. Analýza článků nabízí pohled na události v okrese Karlovy Vary a zasazuje je do kontextu celospolečenských témat. Pozornost je zaměřena na politické události, které se na Karlovarsku odehrávaly, a na informace, které byly přinášeny z centrální úrovně. This bachelor thesis deals with period of Prague Spring from the standpoint of the periodical of Karlovy Vary Stráž míru. It presents a brief historical perspective on the events and the media situation in Czechoslovakia. In the first chapter there are social and international events which preceeded the Prague Spring. Attention is focused on events after the rise of Alexandr Dubček to the head of Communist Party, Akční program of Communist party and the activity of reformists. The second chapter deals with the media situation in Czechoslovakia. There are described large changes in the media sphere during the Prague Spring, especially the revocation of censorship and the development of all types of media. This chapter includes the description of legislation and international meetings, which have affected the situation in the country. At the end of the theoretical part, there is a brief description of the weekly Stráž míru. Stráž míru was a regional periodical in the district of Karlovy Vary. The third chapter has an analytical nature as individual articles are analytically discussed. The analysis of articles provides a view of events in the Karlovy Vary and puts them into the context of societal issues.
