PRODUKCE ELEKTŘINY V USA A KANADĚ: JEJÍ ALOKACE A PALIVOVÉ ZABEZPEČENÍ V LETECH 1980-2010 Abstrakt Americká výroba elektřiny prošla od osmdesátých let 20. století výraznými změnami. Cílem práce je právě obecné shrnutí všech zásadních událostí, které formovaly americkou a kanadskou energetiku, zhodnocení současné situace a nastínění pravděpodobného vývoje do budoucna. Vedle celkové charakteristiky odvětví výroby a distribuce elektrické energie věnuje tato studie více prostoru problematice jaderných elektráren, odklonem od uhlí k zemnímu plynu v souvislosti s expanzí těžby nekonvenčních zdrojů, rozvojem obnovitelných zdrojů energie a kanadsko- americkými vztahy v oblasti energetiky. The aim of this work is to sum up the main events, that formed the American and Canadian energetics, evaluate their current situation and outline the probable future developement. Aside of the general characteristics of the electricity production and distribution sector, this study gives more space to the issue of atomic power plants, switch from coal to natural gas linked to the expansion of drilling the unconventional resources, developement of renewable energy sector and Canadian-American relationship in the energy production field.
