Mineralogické formy, rozšíření a význam sladkovodního ledu Led je jednou ze základních složek životního prostředí. Pokrývá zemský povrch a výrazně ovlivňuje naše životy jak na místní, tak globální úrovni. Je předmětem značného vědeckého zájmu, zejména z hlediska jeho role v klimatických změnách - je schopný uvolňovat znečišťující látky do vodního prostředí nebo modifikovat složení atmosféry, představuje zásobárnu pitné vody či "archiv" přírodního prostředí. Tato bakalářská práce "Mineralogické formy, rozšíření a význam sladkovodního ledu" popisuje nejčastější formy sladkovodního ledu, jeho rozšíření a význam na zemském povrchu i mimo něj. Uvádí nás do problematiky aktuálního směru výzkumu ledu a přibližuje některé stále otevřené otázky. Část práce se také věnuje druhům ledu vyskytujících se na území České republiky. Ice is one of the fundamental components of the environment. It covers the land surface and significantly affects our lives both on a local and global level. It is the subject of considerable scientific interest, particularly in terms of its role in climate change - the ice is capable to release pollutants into the water environment or modify the composition of the atmosphere, represents a drinking water supply or "archive" of the natural environment. This thesis "Mineralogical forms, distribution and importance of freshwater ice" describes the most common forms of freshwater ice, its distribution and importance on the Earth surface and beyond. It introduces us to the issue of current direction of ice researching and approaches some open questions. Part of this work presents types of ice occurring in the Czech Republic.
