V diplomové práci jsem zpracovala možnosti podpory žen v těhotenství a mateřství, které těmto ženám nabízí právní řád České republiky, a také možnosti, které s sebou přinesl ženám vstup České republiky do Evropské unie. Uvedla jsem také plánované zákonné změny, které hodlá prosadit v České republice nová vláda ve svém volebním období 2013 - 2017. Diplomová práce je členěna na dvě části. První část je nazvaná Zabezpečení žen v těhotenství a mateřství v právní řádu České republiky a skládá se celkem ze čtyř kapitol: Vývoj sociálního zabezpečení, Sociální zabezpečení a jeho systémy, Zabezpečení žen v rámci nemocenského pojištění a Zabezpečení ženy v rámci státní sociální podpory. V jednotlivých kapitolách jsou podrobně zpracovány historické souvislost vývoje sociálního zabezpečení a dále pak jednotlivé instituty sloužící k zabezpečení ženy v těhotenství a mateřství. Mezi ně patří v rámci nemocenského pojištění peněžitá pomoc v mateřství a vyrovnávací příspěvek v těhotenství a mateřství, v rámci státní sociální podpory se jedná o přídavek na dítě, porodné a rodičovský příspěvek. Ve druhé části nazvané Zabezpečení žen v těhotenství a mateřství v právním řádu Evropské unie jsou obsaženy tři kapitoly, a to kapitola: Vývoj sociálního práva v rámci práva Evropské unie, Koordinace práva sociálního... In this thesis I processed the options of support for women during pregnancy and maternity which could be offered by the legislation of the Czech Republic and also the possibilities which were connected with their accession to the European Union. I also mentioned planned law changes which the new government of the Czech Republic wants to get through in their election period of 2013-2017. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part, "The Social Security of Women During Pregnancy and Maternity According to Czech Legislation" consists of four chapters: 'The Evolution of Social Security', 'The Social Security and Its Systems', 'The Social Security Within the Sickness Insurance' and 'The Social Security of Women Within the National Social Support'. In these individual chapters there are processed historical context of social security law evolution and then individual institutes serving for securing woman during pregnancy and maternity. The institutes consist of benefits in maternity and equalized contribution within the sickness insurance and also of child benefit, maternity grant and parental allowance within the national social support.
