Bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem mezi užíváním alkoholu mladistvými a jejich socioekonomickým statusem. Alkohol je jednou z nejrozšířenějších legálních drog. Mladiství představují ohroženou skupinu, kterou je třeba před negativními dopady alkoholu chránit. Jak práce dokládá na různých zahraničních výzkumech, vzorce užívání alkoholu se liší podle výše dosaženého socioekonomického statusu. Práce si proto klade za cíl prozkoumat nastíněné rozdíly v užívání alkoholu i mezi adolescenty v ČR a využívá k tomu data Evropské školní studie o alkoholu a jiných drogách (ESPAD) z roku 2007. Autorka zkoumá rozdíly v konzumaci alkoholu mezi chlapci a děvčaty v ČR, dále pak množstvím a četností užívaného alkoholu ve vztahu k jejich socioekonomickému statusu, který byl nově vytvořen pomocí sloučením několika proměnných z dostupného datového souboru. Práce se teoreticky opírá o koncept sociálních determinant zdraví, celoživotní perspektivy a sociálního gradientu. Vzhledem k výsledkům zjištění je v závěru práce navrženo několik otázek, jež by bylo vhodné do studie ESPAD zařadit proto, aby za jejich pomoci bylo možné upřesnit další zjišťování socioekonomického statusu respondentů a účinněji tak zacílit prevenci proti nadměrnému užívání alkoholu. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to explore the relationship between adolescent alcohol use and their socioeconomic status (SES). The study also investigates frequency of the adolescent alcohol use and the number of alcohol sessions along with the association of the SES. It also considers differences between girls and boys in relation to alcohol consumption. The European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs (ESPAD) held in 2007 in the Czech Republic is used as the main data source. The thesis is based on the following theoretical frames. Social determinants of health describe influence of different social events on individual health and the affiliation to the particular SES. Lifecourse perspective and social gradient highlight the importance of view on the relation between SES and its impact on individual's behaviour health. The thesis also describes main approaches in measuring SES and it also contains a chapter concerning alcohol use and its risks. The author suggesting a few improvements in the current ESPAD in the end of the thesis. When it is implemented there will be a great chance to measure SES with better accuracy.
