A control system for the production of optical tubes and rods was developed in the IREE AS CR, as a continuation of prior effort to control drawing process of optical fibres. The latter system was modified; in particular in the power driving unit a newly constructed pulling device was added, enabling, with the help of an array of pulleys and a town belt, the drawing of optical tubes and rods. Mikropočítačový řídící systém pro výrobu optických tyčí a trubic byl vyvinut v ÚRE AV ČR v návaznosti na dříve vyvinuté systémy pro tažení optických vláken.Původní systém byl modifikován ve výkonové jednotce a tažném zařízení.
