Příspěvek zachycuje činnost oddělení pro židovská studia ÚSD AV ČR. Autorka popisuje činnost oddělení od jeho vzniku v lednu 1991 do roku 2004. Představuje jeho výzkumné projekty a publikace. Charakterizuje tematické okruhy, kterými se oddělení bude zabývat v příštích letech. Text dále prezentuje činnost Centra pro dokumentaci majetkových převodů kulturních statků obětí 2. svět. války, které působí při ÚSD AV ČR. Představuje jeho aktivity v letech 2002-2004 a koncepci výzkumné práce. H.
