Tématem bakalářské práce je osobnost pěveckého kastráta Giovanniho Manzuoliho (1720-1782). Práce shrnuje dosavadní znalosti a na základě známých operních vystoupení rekonstruuje jeho pěveckou kariéru. Podrobněji se věnuje poslední dekádě Manzuoliho umělecké dráhy, která nabízí nejbohatší pramennou základnu pro interpretaci jeho pěvecké osobnosti. Pozornost je věnována dochovaným komentářům o Manzuoliho pěveckých výkonech a záznamům o výši jeho honorářů. Stěžejní součástí bakalářské práce je analýza repertoáru, který byl pro Manzuoliho zkomponován "na míru". Vybrané árie z 60. let 18. století jsou analyzovány zejména z perspektivy dobové pěvecké techniky a interpretace. Výsledkem této analýzy je nástin Manzuoliho vokálního profilu. The thesis summarises the present knowledge and reconstructs his singing career on the basis of his known opera performances. The text focuses on the last decade of Manzuoli's artistic career which offers the richest source base for interpretation, including commentaries about performances and records of the amount of the honorarium. The fundamental part of the thesis is a repertoire analysis which had been composed bespoke for Manzuoli. Selected arias from 1760s are analysed mainly through the prism of singing technique and interpretation of that time. The result of this analysis is an outline of Manzuoli's vocal profile.
