Metabolický syndrom je soubor onemocnění, která můžeme označit jako civilizační choroby. Patří sem zejména arteriální hypertenze, specifická dyslipidemie MS (zvýšené triglyceridy a snížený HDL cholesterol), poruchy glukózového metabolismu (inzulinorezistence, prediabetes a diabetes mellitus 2. typu) a obezita s uložením tuku zejména v oblasti břicha. V teoretické části bakalářské práce je popsán současný stav poznání o metabolickém syndromu a zejména možnost jeho ovlivnění pomocí nefarmakologické léčby. Praktická část je zaměřena na praktické lékaře, kteří hrají klíčovou roli v záchytu rizikových pacientů pro vznik MS. V dotazníkovém šetření je zjišťován přístup lékařům k diagnóze MS a úspěšnost spolupráce s pacienty. It is particularly an arterial hypertension, specific dyslipidemia (increased triglycerides and reduced HDL- cholesterol), abnormal glucose metabolism (insulin resistance, prediabetes and diabetes mellitus 2. type) and obesity with abdominal fat placement. In theoretic part bachelor's work present state of cognition about metabolic syndrome is described and particularly the possibility of influencing its development by non-pharmacological intervention. The practical part be aimed to a General Practitioner, which play the key role in searching of high-risk patients for development of MS.
