Práce má za cíl shromáždit informace o nábytkářské firmě Emil Gerstel Prague s důrazem na spolupraci s architekty jako návrháři interiérů. V době před první světovou válkou, kdy stál v čele společnosti Emil Gerstel, vznikal nábytek ovlivněný geometrickou vídeňskou secesí, ale i historizující kusy. Objevují se zmínky o spolupráci s Josephem Mariou Olbrichem. Firma dodávala na vídeňský dvůr. Okolo roku 1930 za Bedřicha Gerstela zažívala firma největší rozvoj. Do tohoto období spadá zařizování nákladné vily Otto Petschka v neorokokovém stylu, spolupráce s Adolfem Loosem a Heinrichem Kulkou při zhotování interiérů v Müllerově vile a v bytě Semlerových v Plzni. Vladimír Grégr uplatnil v bytě Havlových v Praze své návrhy ovlivěné organickým funkcionalismem. Většina Gerstelových zákazníku pocházela z vyšších vrstev, zmíněné nemovitosti byly svým majitelům po druhé světové válce (alespoň částečně) odejmuty. Práce se dotýká i osudů jednotlivých staveb, postupů při jejich restaurování a záměrů na jejich obnovu. Druhá část se snaží popsat samostatnou tvorbu firmy. Její produkce byla z větší části ovlivněna historismy, ty byly uplatněny v zámku v Panenských Břežanech. Firemní architekt Arthur Blitz byl zřejmě autor návrhů ovlivněných styly jako art deco či funcionalismus. Lze je srovnávat například se soudobou... The purpose of this thesis is to gather information on the furniture firm Emil Gerstel Prague in connection with collaborations with architects as interior designers. Emil Gerstel was in charge of the firm Before the First World War, in that period furniture influenced by Viennese geometric secession and by historicist tendencies was produced. A collaboration with the architect Joseph Maria Olbrich in that time is also mentioned. The firm was purveyor to the Viennese court. Around 1930 under the direction of Bedřich Gerstel was the firm on its peak. This period comprises the works on furnishing of the interior of the Otto Petschek 's villa in the Neo-rococo style, the collaboration with Adolf Loos and Heinrich Kulka on furnishing of the villa Müller and on furnishing of the family Semler 's apartment in Plzeň. Vladimír Grégr was the author of the Václav Maria Havel's apartment, his designs were influenced by organic functionalism. Most of the Gerstel's customers came from wealthy families, their property was after the Second Wold War nationalized. This thesis deals with the circumstances of the buildings , their restoring or the plans for a future renovation. The second part describes the independent production of the firm.
