Endemické druhy české květeny představují stále aktuální téma. Jejich efektivní studium je spojeno s porozuměním faktorům a procesům, které je ovlivňují. Ve střední Evropě jsou endemické druhy relativně vzácné, výjimku tvoří Alpy a Karpaty. Na území České republiky jsou vázány především na subalpínský (alpínský) stupeň, tedy na území Vysokých Sudet. Většina českých endemitů představuje evolučně mladé taxony, které ještě nejsou dostatečně diferencovány. Z tohoto důvodu je jejich taxonomické zhodnocení obtížné. Endemity Vysokých Sudet pochází pravděpodobně z holocénu. Výjimku tvoří apomiktické taxony, např. druhy rodu Hieracium, které pravděpodobně vznikly dříve než v holocénu. Vznik většiny sudetských endemitů umožnila geografická izolace malých populací, které byly ponechány samovolnému vývoji. Tento typ alopatrické speciace se nazývá peripatrická. Peripatrická speciace je nejspíše zodpovědná i za vznik taxonomicky sporného endemita Primula elatior subsp. corcontica, který je podruhem značně variabilní P. elatior. Na území České republiky se vyskytují tři poddruhy P. elatior - subsp. corcontica, subsp. elatior a subsp. tatrensis. Tyto podruhy se odlišují morfologií listů a rozšířením. Primula elatior subsp. corcontica byla popsána na základě alopatrického výskytu a morfologické charakteristiky. Zda... The endemic species of the Czech Republic still present a hot topic. Effective research of this topic means understanding of factors which create and influence endemism. With the exception of the Alps and the Carpathians, endemics are relatively very rare in Central Europe. In the Czech Republic they are concentrated mainly in subalpine (alpine) areas in the High Sudetes. Majority of the Czech endemics is of relatively recent origin. They have not well differentiated yet and so it is difficult to taxonomically evaluate them. Endemics of the High Sudetes have probably originated in Holocene with the exception of apomicts, e.g. species of genus Hieracium, which have likely originated even earlier. The origin of most of the Sudetes endemics was possible due to geographic isolation of small populations called peripatric speciation. Peripatric speciation is probably responsible for the origin of taxonomically uncertain endemic species Primula elatior subsp. corcontica, which is a subspecies of highly variable P. elatior. In the Czech Republic occur three subspecies of P. elatior - subsp. corcontica, subsp. elatior and subsp. tatrensis.
