Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou metod měření akustických vlastností dechových žesťových nástrojů. Je popsán princip videokymografie a je odvozena a popsána na ni založená metoda vysokorychlostního měření plochy otevření rtů hráče. Další metody jsou diskutovány. Práce obsahuje základní přehled fyziky dechových nástrojů. The principles of videokymography are shown and a new kymography-based method of high-speed measuring of lips opening area is derived and described. Various other methods are discussed.
