Práce se zabývá vývojem ČSSD v letech 1998 - 2006. Hlavní část je věnována volbám do Poslanecké sněmovny, volebním programům, ve kterých se zaměřuje zejména hlavně na části programů ČSSD, které se věnují sociální politice a demokratickému právnímu státu. Další část se zabývá aférami, které ovlivňovaly dění na politické scéně, ale i občanským iniciativám, které vládu kritizovaly a veškerému politickému dění ve straně a vládách ČSSD. The thesis concerned with development of the Social Democrats in years 1998 - 2006. Major portion is attend to elections to the Chamber of Deputies, election programmes and their social policy and democratic legally consistent state. In the next parts I concerned with scandals on political scene, but also with civil initiatives criticizing all political events in the political party and governments of the Social Democrats.
