Diplomová práce Genderová analýza vybraných románů Miloše Urbana zkoumá dva konkrétní literární texty, romány Sedmikostelí a Lord Mord, které analyzuje z hlediska genderu. Na základě kombinace metod feministického "vzdorného čtení" a diskurzivní analýzy rozkrývá způsoby, jimiž jsou v textech konstruovány postavy žen, a zasazuje je do sociálního a kulturního kontextu. Teoreticky vychází z konceptu Judith Fetterley, který vznikl v rámci druhé vlny feminismu, a propojuje jej s novějšími poststrukturalistickými a dekonstruktivistickými teoriemi. Literatura je zde vnímána jako prostor, v němž působí a střetávají se různé diskurzy a ve kterém dochází k (de)konstrukci významů, kategorií a vztahů, včetně genderových. Podstatou předkládané práce je tematizace a analýza různých kategorií a podob ženství, jež jsou v Urbanových textech (re)produkovány. Snaží se ukázat možnost číst literární text "proti srsti" a nepodléhat jeho interpelacím. Tím zdůrazňuje osobnost čtoucího jedince a jeho schopnost dotvářet/přetvářet text v rámci každého dalšího čtenářského procesu, a produkovat tak nové významy a kategorie. Klíčová slova: feminismus, genderová analýza, Lord Mord, Sedmikostelí, Urban Miloš, vzdorné čtení, ženské postavy This diploma thesis A Gender Analysis of Selected Novels of Miloš Urban researches two concrete literary texts, novels Sedmikostelí and Lord Mord, which are analysed from gender perspective. By using two methods, feminist "resisting reading" and discursive analysis, there are uncovered various ways of female's characters construction, which are put in the social and cultural context. Theoretically the work is patterned on Judith Fetterley's concept, which was created during second wave of feminism, and it is connected to new poststructuralist and deconstructivist approaches. In this theses literature is perceived as space of impressing and encountering different discourses. Senses, categories and relations, incuding gender relations, are deconstructed in this space. This theses's core is the analysis of different categories and forms of femininity, which are reproduced in Urban's texts. It tries to show the possibility to read literary text "against the hair" and to not succumb to its interpellations. In this way it stresses personality of reading individual and his/her ability to complete/reshape text during every single process of reading and to produce new senses and categories.
