Dokumentuje dějinný kontext a popisuje postupný proces prosazení humanistických principů a vzdělávání v Jednotě bratrské od počátku vzniku Jednoty pod dobu působení Jana Blahoslava. Práce vystihuje jednotlivé spory a polemiky o vyšší vzdělání kněží Jednoty. Dotýká se spojení reformačního proudu a humanismu. Mapuje osobnost a životní dílo Jana Blahoslava s důrazem na humanistické principy jeho práce. A dále také přibližuje Blahoslavův konkrétní a duchovní přínos Jednotě bratrské a českému národu.
