Tématem této bakalářské práce je kultura vzpomínání na šoa v ČR po roce 1989, přičemž reflektuje dobu od 1945 do 1989, tedy dobu komunistické vlády v ČSSR. Toto období, především 60. Léta totiž jistě položilo základ pro kulturu vzpomínání na šoa po roce 1989. Práce se zaměřuje jak na dvě velké instituce (Památník Terezín a Pinkasovu synagogu, potažmo Židovské muzeum v Praze), tak na současné nové projekty týkající se vzpomínání na šoa (Vlak Lustig, Stolpersteine, Jom ha-šoa, Zapomenuté transporty atd.). Skrze podrobné zkoumání nových projektů a jejich srovnání se zavedenými institucemi se práce snaží zjistit, jak dalece, případně zda vůbec, se tato kultura vzpomínání v České republice po roce 1989 proměnila. Předmětem zkoumání je v daných projektech jak postava autora, jeho židovství/nežidovství a motivace pro vznik projektů, tak způsob, jakým jsou projekty prezentovány, co zastupují, čeho chtějí dosáhnout, případně jaký mají úspěch, je-li tento fakt zjistitelný. V práci je okrajově zohledňován také mezinárodní vývoj a stav kultury vzpomínání na šoa, je tedy snahou českou kulturu vzpomínání zasadit do mezinárodního kontextu. Ten je důležitý mimo jiné i proto, že některé zahraniční projekty se staly inspirací pro projekty domácí. The culture of remembering Shoah in the Czech Republic after the year 1989 is the topic of this thesis. It deals also with the time between 1945 and 1989, when the Communists ruled in the Czechoslovakia. This time, especially the 60s, influenced the development after the year 1989, probably established the base for the culture of remembering. The thesis deals with the two big institutions (Terezín Memorial and the Pinkas Synagogue, by implication the Jewish Museum in Prague) and the new contemporary projects that focuses on the Shoah- remembrance (Train Lustig, Stolpersteine, Yom ha-shoah, Forgotten Transports etc.). The thesis tries to indicate if ever and how much the Shoah memorial culture has changed in Czech republic after 1989 by analysing the new memorial projects and comparing them to already established institutions. The author of each contemporary project, his/her Jewishness, the motivation, the way of presentation objective of the project, its social impact and success ( if can be measured) - all is subject to analysis. The thesis also lightly reflects international situation in memorial culture, and tries to set the Czech practice to international context. International context is important as Czech contemorary projects have been inspired by foreign projects.
