Abstract: The bachelor thesis describes changing of function of the church of Saint Ann, which is part of a monastery of Dominican Sisters on Anenské náměstí in Prague. This object is an example of varied exploitation of sacral spaces after church reforms of Joseph II. in 1880s. In the first part the author describes the process of the reforms and their influence on a set of chosen churches in the Prague's Old Town. Many of those churches underwent gradual change of their sacral function and started to be used for warehousing or accommodation purposes. In connection with the changes, the question of the new use of the churches and criteria for evaluation of these changes is given in the next part of the thesis. The author presents this issue on example of the development of church of St. Ann. Firstly, the history of the church and adjacent monastery until its cancellation in 1782 is presented. The following changes in the use of the church from the end of 18th century are described in the next part. In the recent time, the church is being used for the project The Prague Crossroads by Foundation VIZE 97.
