Tématem této práce jsou farmářské trhy, jejich funkce, návštěvnost a souvislosti. Cílem mé práce bylo zařadit trend farmářských trhů do širšího socioekonomického kontextu. Zároveň jsem se pokusila o průzkum nakupujících na farmářských trzích pomocí dotazníkového šetření. V teoretické řešeršní části práce se věnuji otázce fungování a návštěvnosti farmářských trhů ve USA, Velké Británii, Francii, Německu a v České republice. Současně v této kapitole uvádím i související trendy, jakými jsou "bedýnkování" a farmářské obchody. Do této práce jsem zahrnula i obecnou kapitolu spotřeby, kde hodnotím problematiku nadměrné spotřeby, konzumního způsobu života, globalizace a (ne)udržitelného rozvoje. Z výsledků mého šetření vyplývá, že na farmářských trzích nakupují i sociálně slabší skupiny obyvatel a tudíž zde neprobíhá sociální vyloučení, které popisují zahraniční autoři. Pomocí šetření se mi podařilo dokázat, že většina zákazníků farmářských trhů tento způsob získání potravin nepovažuje pouze za módní trend. Šetření také prokázalo, že hlavní motivací lidí pro nákup na farmářských trzích je kvalita a čerstvost potravin a podpora lokální farmářů, pěstitelů a výrobců, jak je to popsáno i v zahraniční literatuře. Klíčová slova: farmářské trhy - spotřeba - "bedýnkování" - zákazníci farmářských trhů The bachelor's thesis deals with a topic of farmers' markets, their function, attendance and relations. The goal of my thesis was classification of trends of the farmers' markets to broader socioeconomic context and analyze customers at farmers' markets by questionnaire research. The theoretical part describes functioning and attendance of farmers' markets in the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany and in the Czech Republic. There are discussed related trends like "boxing" and farmer's shops as well. There is included general chapter about consumption with evaluation of problem of the excessive consumption, consumer lifestyle, globalization and (un)sustainable development. It is apparent from the results of questionnaire research, that customers of the farmers' markets are not only wealthy people, it was one of the main hypothesis. It was verified by the questionnaire research, that most of people do not think, that the farmers' markets are only trendy. It is described in literature and it was proven by research that people shop there because of quality and freshness of food and because of support of local producers.
