Ve své diplomní práci se na základě kvalitativní analýzy narativních biografických rozhovorů a sebraného materiálu ze zúčastněného a nezúčastněného pozorování snažím interpretovat to, jakým způsobem jednotliví narátoři konceptualizují svoji lokalitu bydliště - sídliště Stodůlky - jako místo či prostor. Zajímá mne tedy to, jakým způsobem narátoři do své žité lokality zasazují sebe sama a jaké hranice a členění svojí žité lokalitě skrze konceptualizace připisují. Tato analýza volně vychází z teoretického členění na místo a prostor učiněného například Ericem Hirschem nebo Maruškou Svašek. Následně jsem se pokusil interpretovat pojímání sídliště jako místa a prostoru na základě současných konceptů pracujících s lokální identitou. Zajímalo mne, zdali se na základě výpovědí narátorů dá hovořit o tom, že konceptualizace poukazují na sociálně vyjednávanou lokální identitu. Zároveň jsem se pokusil nastínit, jak ve výpovědích narátorů vystupuje sídliště Stodůlky jako "domov". V souladu s Maruškou Svašek jsem pak pracoval se třemi formami identity - teritorializovanou, reteritorializovanou a deteritorializovanou, které pracují s pojmem identity převážně v symbolickém významu. In my thesis, I made a qualitative analysis of narrative biographic inteviews and participant observation of the inhabitants of Prague housing estate Stodůlky, in order to find out the way they conceptualize their locality as a place or a space. I explore how the narrators put themselves in the framework of their lived locality and how they divide this locality. Drawing on a similar theorethical distinctions of place and space introduced by Eric Hirsch and Maruška Svašek, I examined if the narrators conceptualisations make evidence of a socially negotiated local identity and if it is the case, how the housing estate Stodůlky emerges as "home". Hirsch's distinction means that time and space appears only through the perceptions of place. In accord with Svašek I dealt with three different forms of identity - territorialized, deterritorialized a reterritorialized identity. These three forms treats identity in rather symbolic way.
