Příspěvek pojednává o místu a roli Knihopisu v dějinách české a slovenské literatury z hlediska jeho přínosu k bibliografické databázi vydaných českých a slovenských děl a roli, kterou Knihopis pro výzkum dějin obou literatur přináší. The contribution deals with the place and role of Knihopis in the history of Czech and Slovak literature, with regard to its benefit forbibliographical databases of published Czech and Slovak works. Also the role of Knihopis in research of these two kinds of literature is remarked.
