Tato práce se zabývá současnými znalostmi a úrovní edukace porodních asistentek v resuscitaci novorozenců. V České republice mají porodní asistentky (PA) ze zákona povinnost v případě potřeby adekvátně zahájit resuscitaci novorozence (Zákon č. 96/2004 Sb.; Vyhláška č. 55/2011 Sb.). Evropská rada pro resuscitaci vydává každých 5 let aktuální doporučení pro resuscitaci novorozenců, abychom stále mohli využívat nejnovějších poznatků. Každá PA by se měla orientovat v této problematice a kontinuálně se vzdělávat, aby v případě nutnosti dokázala adekvátně jednat. Cílem této práce je zjistit současné znalosti a úroveň edukace porodních asistentek v problematice resuscitace novorozenců a také zjistit možnosti a úroveň praktického nácviku resuscitace novorozence pro PA. V teoretické části této práce jsou zpracovány aktuální informace z oblasti resuscitace novorozenců se zaměřením na porodní asistentky. Výzkumné šetření bylo prováděno kvantitativní metodou. Nástrojem pro sběr dat byl dotazník. Šetření se zúčastnilo 124 PA. Z výzkumného šetření vyplynulo: Dostatečné znalosti v oblasti resuscitace novorozenců prokázalo 68,04 % respondentek, takže předpoklad, že alespoň 80 % PA bude mít dostatečné teoretické znalosti v oblasti resuscitace novorozenců, byl zamítnut. Dále jsme zjistili, že možnost zúčastnit se praktického nácviku resuscitace novorozence alespoň 1x za 2 roky má pouze 29,16 % PA, ačkoliv praktický nácvik resuscitace novorozence má jasně kladný vliv na znalosti PA. Výsledky ukazují na potřebu lépe a častěji edukovat porodní asistentky v oblasti resuscitace novorozenců, a to zejména formou praktického nácviku. Dále jsme zformulovali doporučení pro praxi PA v oblasti resuscitace novorozenců, které je součástí této bakalářské práce. This thesis deals with the current knowledge and level of education of midwives in newborn resuscitation. In the Czech republic, midwives are lawfully obliged to start the newborn resuscitation (Act No. 96/2004 Sb.; Regulation No. 55/2011 Sb.). European Resuscitation Council issues up-to-date recommendations for newborn resuscitation every 5 years, so that we could utilise latest findings. Every midwife should have grasp of this issue and continually educate themselves so they can respond adequately in case of urgency. The goal of this thesis is to determine current knowledge and education level of midwives in the newborn resuscitation field and also to find out the opportunities and quality of newborn resuscitation practice for midwives. Theoretical part of this thesis processes current knowledge from the newborn resuscitation field with orientation on midwives. Research was done by quantitative method. The tool for data acquisition was a questionnaire. 124 midwives participated in the research. The research concluded: Sufficient knowledge in the newborn resuscitation was found in 68,04% of participants. Therefore, the proposed hypothethis, that more than 80% of midwives would have sufficient theoretical knowledge in the newborn resuscitation field, was denied. Next, we found out that only 29,16% of midwives have the opportunity to participate in newborn resuscitation practice, despite the practice having a clearly positive influence on the knowledge of midwives. The results show the need for better and more frequent education of midwives in the newborn resuscitation field, mainly in a form of practical training. We also formed a recommendation for midwive practice in the newborn resuscitation field which is a part of this bachelor thesis.
