Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na ošetřovatelskou péči po úrazu páteře s následnou plegií z pohledu pacienta a jeho rodiny. Poranění páteře a míchy je velice vážným postižením, které má vliv na život pacienta. Ke ztrátě motorických, senzorických i autonomních funkcí dochází v závislosti na typ poranění a umístění v segmentech páteře. Ošetřovatelská péče u pacientů se spinálním poraněním je dlouhodobá a složitá jak pro personál, tak pro samotného pacienta. Pro bakalářskou práci byly stanoveny dva cíle. Prvním cílem bylo zjistit, jak je rodina připravena na ošetřování pacientů s plegií po propuštění do domácí péče. Druhým cílem bylo zjistit, jak vnímají pacienti s poúrazovou plegií ošetřovatelskou péči. Bakalářská práce byla zpracována pomocí kvalitativního výzkumného šetření. Technika sběru dat byla realizována metodou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pacienty po úrazu páteře s následnou plegií a jejich rodinnými příslušníky. Z výsledků výzkumného šetření vyplývá, že informovanost rodinných příslušníků je malá a podané informace hodnotí jako nedostatečné. Informace chyběly jak po stránce ošetřovatelské, tak úřední. Dále z výzkumného šetření vyšlo, že pacienti s poúrazovou plegií jsou spokojeni s ošetřovatelskou péči a komunikaci sester hodnotí velice pozitivně. Dále vyšlo, že rodina na péči v domácím prostředí byla připravena pouze částečně. Největší komplikace byly hlavně po technické stránce. Tato bakalářská práce nastiňuje informovanost pacientů po úrazu páteře a jejich rodin. Zaměřuje se na péči v domácím prostředí i v nemocnici či rehabilitačním centru. This thesis focuses on nursing care after a spinal injury which is followed by paralysis from the patient's and his family's point of view. Spinal or spinal cord injury is a very serious disability that influences patient's life. Depending on the type of the injury and its location in the spinal segments, loss of motoric, sensory and autonomous functions occurs. The nursing care for patients with spinal injuries is a very complicated and long term matter as much for the nursing personnel as for the patients themselves. Two goals were set for this thesis. The first one was to find out if the family is ready for taking care of a paralysed patient in a home environment post hospital release. Second goal was focusing on how patients with post injury paralysis perceive nursing care. The bachelor thesis was processed using qualitative research. The data was collected using the method of semi-structured interviews of patients with paralysis caused by spinal injuries and their family members. The results of the research show that the awareness of family members is small and the information submitted is considered insufficient. Information was missing both form the nursing care and administrative point of view. In addition, the research shows that patients with post-traumatic plegia are satisfied with the nursing care provided and that the communication with nurses is evaluated positively. Another piece of information resulting from the research is that the patient's family was prepared for home care of a paralysed individual only partially and the most significant complications come from the technical side of preparedness. This thesis is outlining the awareness of patients and their families after a spinal injury occurs. It is focusing on caring for the patients in their home environment, in a hospital or a rehabilitation facility.
