Tato studie je zaměřena na testování hypotézy holokinetického drivu a jeho role v karyotypové evoluci motýlů. Negativní korelace mezi počtem chromozomů a velikostí genomu, která je jednou z hlavních predikcí holokinetického drivu, byla testována prostřednictvím průtokové cytometrie u vybraných druhů motýlů. Tato práce také potvrdila přítomnost chromozomálních přestaveb u linií Bombyx mori r50 a japonského B. mandarina, které mohou být v budoucnu využiti na analýzu preferenční transmise chromozomů. The present study is focused on testing a hypothesis of holokinetic drive and its role in karyotype evolution in Lepidoptera. Negative correlation between chromosome number and genome size, which is one of the main predictions of holokinetic drive, was tested by means of flow cytometry in selected lepidopteran species. The study also confirmed presence of chromosome rearrangements in the r50 Bombyx mori strain and B. mandarina from Japan, which could be used for an analysis of preferential chromosome transmission in future.
