Práce se zabývá rastafariánství, gender problematikou a volnočasovým fenoménem reggae, který je prostředkem prezentace identity rastafariánských hudebních interpretů. Začátek teoretické části práce pojednává o identitě, genderových rolích a stereotypech jako o aspektech výchovy. Další část se zabývá atributy rastafariánské identity, historickými kořeny rastafariánů, jejich náboženstvím, životním stylem, specifickým jazykem, gender problematikou a šířením rastafariánství v současném globálním světě. Poslední kapitola pojednává o hudebním stylu reggae z hlediska jeho funkcí, vzniku a mezinárodního vývoje jako současného kulturního trendu. Praktická část práce se zabývý kvalitativním výzkumem za užití metody obsahové analýzy a kódování získaných dat. Cílem výzkumu je popsat gender problematiku explicitně a implicitně obsaženou v hudebních textech reggae a z něj plynoucích žánrů. The work deals with Rastafari, gender promatics and the leisure phenomenon reggae, which is a means of presentation of identity the rastafarian musical artists. The beginning of the theoretical part the work deals with identity, gender roles and stereotypes as aspects of education. Next part is concerned with attributes of rastafarian identity, historical roots of Rastafarians, their religion, lifestyle, specific language, gender problematics and the spread of Rastafari in contemporary global world. The last chapter discusses the reggae musical style from the viewpoint its functions, creation and international development as the contemporary cultural trend. The practical part is concerned with qualitative research using method of content analysis and coding of the obtained data. The aim of the research is to describe the gender problematics explicitly and implicitly contained in the musical texts of reggae and genres deriving from it.
