Abstract: The aim of the thesis was evaluate interaction between dominance and personality traits. The main questions were, whether exist some differences in dominance interactions between socially and solitary vertebrates and whether higher aggression, boldness and other personality traits lead to higher position in socially hierarchy. Dominant individuals have better conditions than their subordinates, because dominance status enable better access to resources like mates, food or place.
