Bakalářská práce shrnuje a poukazuje na význam a efektivní využívání geografických informačních systémů v oblasti životního prostředí a ochrany přírody. První a druhá kapitola shrnuje dosavadní vývoj, základní pojmy a principy fungování těchto systémů k uchopení problematiky. Třetí kapitola se věnuje jejich využití v oblasti životního prostředí, dále nabízí ukázky služeb a technologií v ochraně přírody a jejich rozbor. Následující čtvrtá kapitola představuje práci se softwarem a prezentuje vlastní konkrétní příklady a možnosti jejich využití. V závěrečné páté kapitole jsou shrnuty a vyhodnoceny získané poznatky a nastíněn možný budoucí vývoj. [Autorský abstrakt]. The bachelor thesis summarize and refer to importance and effective using Geographic Information Systems in the field of environment and nature protection. The first and second chapter summarize historical development, main terms and principles of these systems to handle the problem. The third chapter deals with using GIS in the field of environment and presents examples and analysis of services and technologies in nature protection. The fourth chapter presents work with software and own concrete examples and definite possibilities. The final fifth chapter summarize and evaluates obtained results and outlines further possible development. [Authors' abstract].
