V příspěvku jsou analyzovány způsoby numerických výpočtů elastické stability skořepin a shrnuty jejich výhody i nevýzody. Alternativy výpočtových postupů jsou ilustrovány na případě jednoduché válcové nádoby s torosférickými dny , zatížené vnějším pře**ts: linear calculation of static nominal stress, comparisons of these values with proper code allowable stress determine the real stability limits.
