Abstract: Results of the experimental investigation of a double-impact oscillator model and comparison of differences in measurement approaches of systems with rigid and soft impact are presented. The sensitivity of initial conditions for the particular motion of these systems is high, especially when soft impacts are included. Several points worth mentioning and having in mind during the measurement.
