Bakalářská práce "Evropská referenda a Švédské království" pojednává o specifickém vztahu Švédska k evropské integraci. Časové vymezení sahá od druhé poloviny 20. století až do roku 2009, kdy bylo Švédsko podruhé v pozici předsednické země EU. Snažím se pojmenovat hodnoty uznávané švédskou společností za tradiční a zachytit proměny, kterými v době po skončení studenoválečného konfliktu v kontextu s postupujícím procesem přibližování Švédska k Evropskému společenství prošly. Analýzou historických, sociálních a politických faktorů, které ovlivnily výsledky obou evropských referend, které ve Švédsku proběhly v tomto dynamickém období, se dostávám k odpovědím na následující otázky: zda je švédská společnost přesvědčena o tom, že je pro ni členství v EU výhodné a z čeho pramení ambivalentní přístup švédské veřejnosti k Unii. První část je věnována obecnému popisu lidových hlasování a evropským referendům. V další části je představena švédská legislativní úprava institutu referenda a složení tamní politické scény. Ve třetí části pak analyzuji obě referenda, abych následně poukázala na dopady, které měl přístup do evropského společenství na švédskou politiku a společnost. V závěru priority, které se snaží švédská reprezentace v EU prosadit a formu tohoto úsilí. Bachelor thesis "European Referendums and the Kingdom of Sweden" deals with the specific relationship of Sweden towards the process of the European integration. Time frame extends from the second half of the 20th century until 2009. I aim to name the values recognized as traditional by the Swedish society and to depict the changes they went through during the post cold war period. Through the analysis of historical, social and political factors that influenced the results of both European referendums that took place in Sweden in this dynamic period I get to answers to the following questions: whether the Swedish society is persuaded that the membership of its country in the European Union is advantageous for it and what is the reason for its ambivalent view of the EU.
