Předkládaná bakalářská práce s názvem Vztah mezi Ruskou federací a Severoatlantickou aliancí si klade za cíl deskripci a analýzu vývoje a dialogu mezi Severoatlantickou aliancí a Ruskou federací. Důraz je kladen na rozbor klíčových událostí, v nichž se společně oba aktéři angažovali. Podrobněji je analyzován vývoj vzájemných vazeb mezi Severoatlantickou aliancí a Sovětským svazem v době studené války a následný proces utváření bilaterálních vztahů mezi Severoatlantickou aliancí a Ruskou federací. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována charakteristice Severoatlantické aliance a Varšavské smlouvy, zejména jejich vzniku, struktuře, strategii a cílům. Práce se také dotýká všech strategických koncepcí Severoatlantické aliance a ruských vojenských doktrín od přelomu tisíciletí. Z teoretických a praktických hledisek je následně vyhodnocen přínos členství zemí ve vojensko-politických uskupeních. Emphasis is placed on analysis of key events in which both actors were involved. The development of mutual relations between NATO and the Soviet Union during the Cold War and the subsequent process of forming relationship between NATO and the Russian Federation are analyzed in detail. Special attention is paid to the characteristics of NATO and the Warsaw Pact, especially their emergence, structure, strategy, and objectives. The thesis also touches on all strategic concepts of NATO and the Military Doctrine of the Russian Federation since the turn of the millennium. Afterwards, benefits of countries' membership in the political-military formation are evaluated in theoretical and practical perspectives.
