Kanadskou frankofonní provincii Quebec pojí s Francouzskou republikou nejen společná historie a jazyk, ale zároveň také velmi specifická dlouhodobá mezinárodně-politická spolupráce v rámci Frankofonie i mimo ni. Bakalářská práce "Zvláštní vztah" Quebeku a Francie v 50. a 60. letech 20. stol. se snaží doložit, že v 50. a 60. letech 20. stol. mezi Francií a Quebekem existoval "zvláštní vztah", jenž se v mnoha aspektech podobá "zvláštnímu vztahu" Spojených států amerických a Velké Británie. Toto období je specifické nástupem liberální vlády Jeana Lesage a počátkem modernizační éry tzv. "tiché revoluce" v Quebeku a ve Francii nástupem největšího zastánce francouzsko-quebecké spolupráce generála Charlese de Gaulla do funkce prezidenta. Na základě analýzy francouzsko-quebeckých politických, diplomatických, kulturních a obchodních styků v této době se práce pokouší ukázat, do jaké míry mohl "zvláštní vztah" posílit quebecké sebevědomí, podpořit prosazování quebeckých zájmů v rámci kanadské federace, pomoci dostat Quebec do světového povědomí a nasměrovat provincii k vznesení požadavku autonomie. Canadian francophone province Quebec is tied to the French Republic not only thanks to their common history and language but also because of a very specific long-term international and political cooperation both within the Francophonie and beyond it. This bachelor thesis "Special relationship" between Quebec and France in 1950s and 1960s tries to prove that there really existed a "special relationship" between France and Quebec in the 1950s and 1960s which is in many ways similar to the "special relationship" between the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The period is specific due to the coincidence of two important events: the victory of Jean Lesage's Liberals that started the Quiet Revolution in Quebec on one hand and the French presidency of General Charles de Gaulle, the biggest defender of good relations between France and Quebec on the other hand. Based on careful research of their political, diplomatic, cultural and economic relations during this special period, the thesis analyses to what extent the "special relationship" strengthened Quebec's self-confidence, supported the promotion of Quebec's interests within Canada, helped Quebec in its struggle for being recognized by much more countries and directed this province towards fighting...
