Tato diplomová práce pojednává o mateřských centrech, jejich významu v občanské společnosti a hodnotí spolupráci mezi mateřskými centry a obcemi, v nichž tato mateřská centra působí. Práce obsahuje vysvětlení pojmů rodina, zabývá se funkcemi rodiny a postavením žen v rodině. Popisuje úlohu státu ve vztahu k rodinám s dětmi a rodinnou politiku na úrovni vybraného kraje. V práci je dále uvedeno, co jsou to mateřská centra, jak vznikají a jak ovlivňují občanskou společnost. V empirické části práce je posuzována činnost vybraných mateřských center, jejich propagace, spolupráce se Sítí mateřských center o.s. a spolupráce s institucemi státní správy a samosprávy. Práce také obsahuje výsledky šetření v obcích, kde vybraná mateřská centra působí. V závěru práce je zhodnoceno postavení mateřských center v občanské společnosti. This thesis includes definitions of concepts as family, role of the family, and status of women in the family. It describes the role of the state in relation to the families and family policy in specific region. In this diploma thesis is stated what the meaning of mother centres, how they are formed and how they influence civil society. Within the empirical part of the thesis I have tried to assess the activity of the selected mother centres, their promotion and their cooperation with the Network of the mother centres and their cooperation with the public sector institutions. This diploma thesis contains the results of investigation in the municipalities as well. In the conclusion of the thesis there is evaluation of the position of the mother centres in civil society.
