[cze][eng] Práce se zabývá mladým fenoménem profesionálního pokeru. Analyzuje jeho společenský rozměr, snaží se porozumět příčinám a důsledkům rozhodnutí zvolení takovéto kariéry pro život člověka. Pro uchopení tématu přitom využívá především části marxistické teorie a zkoumá, zda je profesionální hraní spíše únikem, či naopak integrací do kapitalistické společnosti. Závěry poté vycházejí jak z čisté reflexe ekonomického fungování online pokeru, tak z 8 kvalitativních rozhovorů, ve kterých jsou analyzovány životy a postoje profesionálních hráčů či významných členů pokerové komunity. V rozhovorech se zkoumá charakter náplně práce profesionála, jeho motiv pro profesionální hraní, morální rozměr a rizika jeho volby a společenský dopad na jeho život. Analýza rozhovorů ukazuje, že profesionální hra pokeru jako práce podléhá mnoha mechanismům typickým pro jakoukoli jinou výdělečnou činnost. Podobně osobností předpoklady pro tento způsob obživy se neukazují být nikterak neobvyklé. Tendence moderní společnosti, které postihuje Marx, lze aplikovat i zde. Ukazují se ale i tendence a mechanismy, na které Marx takový důraz neklade. Závěry ukazují, že pokud přistoupíme na marxistický obraz společnosti, je profesionální hraní pouze určitým přesunem v rámci tohoto modelu, nikoliv únikem z něj. Některé charakteristiky práce se však...The text discusses a fairly recent phenomenon of professional poker. It analyzes it's social dimension and tries to understand the reasons and consequences of this career choice for the life of the player. For framing the topic certain parts of marxist theory are used primarily. In this context the text analyzes whether professional playing is more correctly viewed as an escape from system of capitalist work or as an integration into the capitalist system. Conclusions come from reflections of economic model of online poker and 8 interviews. These interviews analyze life and opinions of professional players or prominent figures in czech poker community. The interviews focus on the character of the professional's work, his motives for professional playing, the moral dimension, risks of his choice and social consequences for his life. The analysis demonstrates, that many mechanisms typical for other work apply for professional poker as well. Similarly, the personal necessary predispositions for this kind of living don't seem unusual. Tendencies of modern society captured by Marx can be tracked in professional poker as well.
