cze Abstract:
17 (propemptikon), carm. 25 (epithalamium) a carm. 31 (consolatio). The aim of this thesis is to analyze the way in which Paulinus of Nola employs the classical literary heritage in his genre poems. The object of analysis in particular are his carm. 17 (propemptikon), carm. 25 (epithalamion) and carm. 31 (consolatio). The base of comparison are those poems of classical Roman poets that belong to these genres, especially those of Statius, and also Menander the Rhetors treatise Peri epideiktikon.
