Diplomová práce Proces schvalování Lisabonské smlouvy a jeho odraz ve francouzském a českém tisku pojednává o problematickém dvouletém průběhu ratifikace smlouvy a o ohlasu těchto událostí ve vybraných denících. S postupným rozšiřováním Evropské unie, museli její vedoucí představitelé reagovat na výzvy, které s sebou přinášel zvyšující se počet členských států. Z toho důvodu byla vypracována tzv. Lisabonská smlouva, jež měla nahradit Smlouvu o Ústavě pro Evropu, kterou v roce 2005 v referendu odmítla Francie a Nizozemí. Tento nový dokument reformoval evropské instituce a rozšiřoval sféry vlivu Unie. Po podpisu smlouvy zástupci členských států v prosinci 2008, následoval proces její ratifikace v jednotlivých zemích. Průběh schvalování se však neobešel bez nesnází. Německo a Česká republika daly dokument přezkoumat Ústavnímu soudu, Irsko pak smlouvu odmítlo v referendu. Přes všechny překážky byl nakonec proces úspěšně dokončen a smlouva vstoupila 1. prosince 2009 v platnost. Během celého dvouletého období český a francouzský tisk podrobně mapoval události týkající se ratifikace zmíněného dokumentu. Na základě analýzy článků z deníků Le Figaro, Le Monde, L'Humanité, MF Dnes, Lidové noviny a Právo se tato práce pokouší odpovědět na následující otázky: O kterých významných momentech noviny informovaly a... Diploma thesis The Approval process of the Lisbon Treaty and its reflection in French and Czech press deals with problematic two-year course of its ratification and with reflection of the accompanying events in the chosen journals. Together with continuing increase of European Union (hereinafter "EU") member states, the EU heads had to react on challenges brought by such expansion. Therefore it resulted in elaboration of so called Lisbon Treaty (hereinafter "the Treaty") that had been meant to replace the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe rejected by the France and the Netherlands in referendum in 2005. This new document has reformed the European institutions and has expanded the EU's sphere of influence. The process of ratification that followed in the member states after signing of the Treaty has not occurred without difficulties. Germany and the Czech Republic challenged the Treaty before the constitutional courts and Ireland rejected it in the referendum. Despite all obstacles the process has finally been finished and the Treaty came into force as of December 1, 2009. During the whole two-year period Czech and French press monitored the events related to the mentioned document.
