Ve své práci se zaměřuji na genderovou analýzu pohádek a knížek pro děti. Pohádky jsou často vnímány jako svět fantazie, kde dochází k překračování hranic, které vymezují různé kategorie sociální struktury. Většina tradičních pohádek zachovává tradičně vymezenou genderovou strukturu, čímž vytvářejí normativní poselství o podobě genderových rolí a genderových identit, které zapadají do hierarchicky uspořádaného systému podle genderu. Pohádky se takto stávají nástrojem reprodukce genderových nerovností ve společnosti. In my thesis, I focus on gender analysis of fairy tale stories for children. Fairy tales are generally perceived as a world of fantasy where the boundaries outlining the categories of social structure are transgressed. Most of the traditional fairy tales sustain the traditional gender structure. These fairy tales construct the normative gender roles and identities, which can help reproduce existing gender order. In this sense fairy tales represent the way of reproduction of gender inequalities in the society.
