Práce se zabývá historií předškolních institucí v Praze a především se zaměřuje na vývoj mateřského školství. Na základě primárních pramenů, popisuje první předškolní instituce a vznik první mateřské školy v Praze. Sleduje snahy o reformu mateřských škol a mapuje jejich postavení v rámci legislativy. Druhá část práce se věnuje historii konkrétní mateřské školy na území Prahy 6. Téma vývoje předškolních institucí je velice rozsáhlé, a proto je práce zaměřena na zlomová období. Všímá si, nakolik byl vývoj těchto institucí ovlivněn společenskými a politickými změnami. Jak se promítaly do legislativy předškolního školství a do názorů na postavení mateřské školy ve společnosti. Ukazuje proměnu mateřské školy, která vykonávala dohled a pečovala o nezaopatřené děti pracujících rodičů, ve výchovnou instituci, která se stala součástí školské soustavy. Pohledem do historie je možné se poučit, pochopit dějinné souvislosti a v jejich kontextu uvažovat o budoucnosti. The work deals with the history of preschool institutions in Prague and its main focus is on the development of nursery schools. Based on primary sources, it describes the first preschool institutions and the establishment of the first kindergarten in Prague. It follows the endeavours to reform nursery schools, mapping their status within the legislative framework. The second part of the work is devoted to the history of a particular nursery school in the district of Prague 6. The topic of the development of preschool institutions is very extensive, thus the work concentrates on the milestone periods. It monitors to what extent the development of these institutions was influenced by social and political changes. How they were reflected in the preschool education legislation and in the opinions on the status of nursery school in society. It shows the transformation of a nursery school that exercised supervision and took care of the children of busy working parents into an educational institution that has become part of the education system. By looking at history, we can learn and understand the historical context based on which we can think about the future.
