Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl zjištění úrovně zdravotně nutričního stavu starých lidí, rizikových faktorů pro vznik malnutrice ve vybraném vzorku populace z Domova pro seniory v Praze 10 Malešicích. Teoretická část se věnuje gerontologii a geriatrii, vědě o stáří, teoriím stárnutí, charakteristice výživy, doporučeným dávkám pro seniory, nemocem v této fázi života a také problematice malnutrice. Svou početností v populaci a změnami ve stáří tvoří senioři rizikovou skupinu z hlediska malnutrice, setkáváme se však u nich i s opačným jevem, obezita dnes nepostihuje nejen střední populaci a děti. Praktická část využívá výsledků z průzkumného šetření formou dotazníku Mini-Nutritional Assessment (MNA), zhodnocující výživový stav vybraných obyvatel, a laboratorních parametrů krve. Získané skóre z dotazníku rozdělilo soubor seniorů na 3,8% v malnutrici, 30,8% v riziku malnutrice a 65,4% v dobrém nutričním stavu. Za statisticky významný pro vznik malnutrice byl prokázán stav psychiky, úroveň mobility a soběstačnost při jídle. Dosažené skóre z dotazníku pozitivně koreluje se sérovými bílkovinami, albuminem a prealbuminem. Správná výživa, dostatek pravidelného a vhodného pohybu, kontakt s okolím výrazně zlepšuje a prodlužuje život. My batchelor's thesis proposes to find out the nutritional and health status of elderly people, risk factors for malnutrition in selected sample of population from Nursing Home in Prague 10 Malešice. The first part informs about gerontology and geriatrics, aging theories, nutritional advices, typical diseases for this part of the life and also malnutrition. The elderly people forms the large and risk group for malnutrition. As well we meet with the obesity, it is not only the problem of children and middle age nowadays. The practical part is making use of Mini Nutritional Assessment questionnaire and results of blood biochemistry. The acquired score from Mini Nutritional Assessment questionnaire divided the group of seniors into 3,8% in malnutrition, 30,8% in risk for malnutrition and 65,4% in normal nutritional state. The state of mind, the level of mobility and self-support at table are considered as statistically singnificant. There is direct correlation between the score and the value of plasma proteins, albumin and prealbumin. For healthy and long living are correct diet, regular activity and contact with other people needed.
