Souhrn Cíl práce: Zhodnotit opacity zadního pouzdra (PCO - z ang. Posterior capsule opacification) u pacientu 7 let po operaci katarakty s implantací trech ruzných typu nitroocních cocek (IOC): Tvrdých IOC z polymethylmetakrylátu (PMMA) s optickou cástí s oblým okrajem, mekkých IOC z hydrofobního akrylátu s optickou cástí s ostrým okrajem a mekkých IOC vyrobených ze silikonu s optickou cástí s oblým okrajem. Ke kvantifikaci použít dva pocítacové systémy a zjistit korelaci techto dvou systému. Porovnat výstupy použitých metod mezi sledovanými IOC a zjistit, zda nekterý typ IOC vykazuje lepší vlastnosti z hlediska prevence opacit zadního pouzdra. Soubor a metodika: Hodnotili jsme 73 pacientu, kterí byli operováni pro kataraktu v letech 1998-2000 na Ocní klinice Fakultní nemocnice v Hradci Králové klasickou ultrazvukovou fakoemulsifikací. Sedm let po operaci bylo provedeno standardní oftalmologické vyšetrení vcetne urcení nejlépe korigované zrakové ostrosti (KZO) a byla porízena digitální fotografie predního segmentu oka v arteficiální mydriase se zaostrením na zadní pouzdro. Na fotografii byly opacity zadního pouzdra hodnoceny softwarem EPCO 2000 (z ang. Evaluation of Posterior Capsule Opacification) a systémem OSCA (z ang. Open-access Systematic Capsule Assessment). Ke statistickému hodnocení byly použity... Purpose: To evaluate posterior capsule opacification (PCO) in patients 7 years after cataract operation with the implantation of three types of intraocular lenses (IOL): rigid polymethylmetacrylate IOL (PMMA) with a round optical edge, foldable hydrophobic acrylate IOL with a sharp edged optic and foldable IOL whose optical part is made from silicone with round edges. For the quantification, two computerized methods were used and the correlation of the two systems was evaluated. Data from both methods were used to compare PCO incidence for the followed IOL and ascertain if some type of IOL showed better qualifications in the prevention of posterior capsule opacification. Patients and methods: We evaluated 73 patients that had undergone cataract operation using the classic ultrasound phacoemulsification method in the time period of 1998-2000 at the Ophthalmology Department of the Hradec Kralove Faculty Hospital. Seven years after the operation, a standard ophthalmologic examination was performed including best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and a digital photograph of the anterior segment of the eye in mydriasis, focusing on the posterior capsule.
