Odhalením převážně nezpracovaných nebo doposud opomíjených pramenů byla rozkryta nová fakta, která posouvají bádání v problematice lidového oděvu v krkonošsko-jizerské kulturní oblasti do nové roviny. Autor se zaměřil na podchycení historie lidového oděvu na Vysocku od zřejmě nejstarších dohledatelných zmínek z počátku 18. století. Podařilo se rovněž zdokumentovat jednotlivé generační proměny lidového oděvu na Vysocku a jeho mísení s dobovou městskou módou v průběhu 19. a 20. století až po svérázové využití v běžném životě již odložených krojů a jejich prezentaci v současné době. V průběhu výzkumu byla zjištěna oděvní specifika mikroregionu Vysocka, daná ekonomickými, kulturními, sociálními, etnickými i geografickými podmínkami zkoumané oblasti. Problematika lidového oděvu na Vysocku je první komplexní prací na dané téma. Pokládá tak základ pro další studium širších souvislostí na poli výzkumu lidového oděvu v krkonošsko-jizerské kulturní oblasti. By revealing mostly not yet researched or up to this time neglected sources, new facts have been discovered, which put the research in the problems of folk dressing in the cultural area of Giant and Jizera mountains to a new level. The author directed his attention to the history of folk dressing in the Vysoké nad Jizerou area since the probably oldest references coming from the beginning of the 18th century. He succeeded in documenting individual generations variabilities of the folk dressing in the area of Vysoké nad Jizerou, how this dressing was involved by the urban fashion during the 19th and 20th century up to its use within the frame of "svéráz" movement and the specific use of the offcasted folk costumes in the present time. During the exploration there have been found some dressing specifies in the microarea of Vysoké nad Jizerou given by the economic, cultural, social, ethnic and geographic conditions of the explored area. The "Problems of Folk Costume in the Vysoké nad Jizerou Area" is the first complex work on this subject. It offers a basis for further studies connected with the exploration of folk clothing in the cultural area of Giant- and Jizera mountains.
