Abstract: Quantum chemical calculations together with NMR and Raman spectroscopy have been used to elucidate the conformational structure and hydrogen-bonding interations in two synthetic polymer systems: water solutions of elastin-like polypentapeptides and chemically modified polysiloxane networks.
