Tato disertační práce se zabývá tématem využívání literárních textů ve výuce cizích jazyků. Konkrétně se tato práce věnuje specifickým aspektům didaktiky anglicky psané literatury ve výuce anglického jazyka a to v kontextu kurikulární reformy pro gymnázia. Pozornost je tak věnována vztahu literatury a vzdělávání, ale také otázce interpretace a recepce literárního textu v souvislosti s výukou cizích jazyků determinovanou také novými kurikulárními dokumenty. V rovině výzkumu se práce zaměřuje na hledání vhodného a funkčního propojení několika s touto problematikou úzce spjatých rovin z oblasti literární vědy, lingvodidaktiky i současného pojetí výuky cizích jazyků v rámci kurikulárních dokumentů a vytvoření nových možností pro adekvátní začlenění anglicky psané literatury do výuky anglického jazyka. Teoretická část práce je tvořena třemi hlavními kapitolami, v rámci kterých jsme představili a objasnili základní teoretická východiska celé práce - složku literárněvědnou, výstupy kurikulární reformy s ohledem na postavení cizojazyčné literatury ve výuce cizích jazyků a v neposlední řadě složku lingvodidaktickou. Nejprve jsme se tedy zaměřili na úlohu literatury ve vzdělávání, objasnili specifičnost jejího postavení v rámci výuky a představili základní principy recepční estetiky Wolfganga Isera. V... The present dissertation examines certain crucial issues in the field of literature teaching and the use of literature in the foreign language classroom. In particular, it focuses on the specific aspects of the didactics of English literature in the context of the current trends and changes of the Czech grammar school curriculum. Therefore, it explores the relation of literature and education, the question of interpretation and reception of a literary work in connection with the foreign language classroom, which is currently influenced by the new curricular documents. At the research level, the dissertation attempts to find a potentially ideal combination of the disciplines related to this field, i.e. literary scholarship, EFL methodology as well as the outcomes and intentions of the new curricular documents, and searches for new possibilities of the optimal use of English literature in the EFL classroom. The theoretical section consists of three main chapters that correspond to the three main theoretical grounds of the dissertation reflecting the above mentioned disciplines.
