Nejvíce diskutovanou oblastí se stala primární zdravotní péče, přičemž však tato diskuse probíhá spíše na stránkách denního tisku než mezi zainteresovanými orgány. To dokládá také skutečnost, že v současné době neexistuje žádná studie či koncepční materiál, který by se problematikou demografického stárnutí lékařů zabýval. I tento důvod se stal jedním z impulzů, které vedly ke zpracování tohoto tématu. Primární zdravotní péče má v celém systému zdravotnictví velmi klíčové postavení, a to i přes to, že její vymezení spadá až do konce sedmdesátých let minulého století (konference WHO v Alma-Atě v roce 1978). Přesto na legislativní zakotvení v České republice primární zdravotní péče stále čeká. Jedná se o péči, která by měla být místem prvotního kontaktu pacienta se zdravotní péčí, což vyžaduje... Most discussed aspects are primary health care, while this debate is rather on the pages of daily newspapers than among the interested institutions. This illustrates the fact that currently there are no studies or conceptual material for the issues of demographic aging of doctors examined. And this was also the reason which became one of the impulses that led to the elaboration of this theme. Primary health care has had throughout the whole health system a very crucial position, despite the fact that its definition goes back to the end of the seventies of the last century (WHO conference in Alma-Ata in 1978).
